Valve Repair Kit D1/E - ZF 6HP (Generation 1) Sonnax

Innovative oversize repair kit from a renowned American company Sonnaxfor the reconditioning of clutch valve seats D1 and E in hydraulic gearbox controllers ZF 6HP first generation (6HP19/21/26/28/32). Wear on the seats of these valves is a common cause of shifting problems, especially between 4th, 5th and 6th gears, as well as slip faults.

Technical specifications:

  • Manufacturer: Sonnax

  • Condition: New

  • Transmission type: 6-speed automatic (ZF 6HP19/21/26/28/32, Gen 1)

  • Sonnax catalogue number: 95740-08K

  • Attention: Requires a special tool (reamer) for assembly!

    Application:

The kit allows you to repair a worn hydraulic controller body. Instead of replacing the entire, expensive mechatronics, the worn valve seat can be reamed out and a new, oversized bushing and valve from the Sonnax kit inserted, restoring perfect tightness and performance.

    Key benefits:

    • Permanently eliminates pressure leakage problems on D1 and E clutch valves

    • Solves problems with so-called 'flaring' (stalling) when shifting gears 4-5-6

    • Much cheaper option than replacing the entire mechatronics

    • Product from the world leader in parts for remanufacturing automatic transmissions

      Installation instructions:

This is an operation for highly specialised workshops. It requires disassembly and dismantling of the mechatronics. The worn valve seat is reamed using a dedicated Sonnax reamer (sold separately). A new bushing and valve from the kit are then installed.

      Summary:

The Sonnax repair kit is an advanced but highly effective solution to save a hydraulic controller previously doomed to replacement. It is the flagship product for professionals who want to offer the highest quality remanufacturing of ZF 6HP transmissions.
