A deformed or damaged cover is manifested by an oil leak at the contact with the housing and a pressure drop in the channels. Before assembly, compare the outline, the spacing of the holes and the execution of the sockets with the disassembled element.

Replaced with cracks, wiping of nests and rebated surfaces and leaks resulting from the deformation of the plane. Before assembly, the rebate of the remnants of the old gasket is cleaned, the flatness and condition of the threaded holes are checked, and the bolts are tightened with torque and in the order provided for a given box.
